Head of Zeus are delighted to announce that they have entered into a partnership with bestselling thriller writer Philip Kerr to publish his new Scott Manson series
This new venture marks an exciting move for Kerr to the setting of the powerful, corrupt and high octane world of international football. Anthony Cheetham secured the deal with Caradoc King of A.P Watt. Under the deal, HoZ control English languages rights throughout the world and will be responsible for selling US rights. A.P. Watt at United Agents control foreign rights which have recently been sold in France, Spain and Holland. Audio rights have already been sold.
Amanda Ridout, CEO of Head of Zeus, said: ‘We are very excited to be working with Philip to establish a new bestselling crime series set against the fast-moving and far-reaching world of football. We will publish the first book in December 2014 and hope to quickly build the Scott Manson brand, enthralling Philip’s existing fans and reaching out to the enormous audience of football fans in all corners of the globe.’
Philip Kerr said (channeling the words of some great football managers):
‘I wouldn’t say that I’m the most prolific writer in the business. But I’m in the top one.’
‘Some people believe that publishing books is a matter of life and death. I’m very disappointed with that attitude. I can assure you that for me it is much, much more important than that.’
‘If you’re reading this, I tell you honestly I will love it if we make this new series of books into bestsellers. If we do that I will love it! Love it!’
