We are delighted to announce that Amanda Ridout will join Head of Zeus, as our C.E.O. and Publisher this September.

Anthony, who turned 70 earlier this year, will relinquish his executive role at the company in January 2014 whilst remaining in place as Chairman.

Amanda said ‘ I am delighted to join the team at such an exciting time in the company’s development. After just a year in existence they have already got a strong list of authors and I look forward to building on these foundations to establish a new force in independent publishing.

‘This is a time of unprecedented opportunity to connect authors with readers, to experiment in the digital space and to create a company grounded in the twenty-first century. There is a bright future for bringing great storytelling - whether fiction or fact - to a global market.’

Anthony Cheetham said ‘Amanda is a big beast in the publishing jungle. She will bring to us a wealth of experience in all aspects of publishing, a keen eye for strategy, and a restless drive to succeed.’

Amanda was most recently Managing Director of Phaidon Press and served earlier as Managing Director at HarperCollins and before that Headline.
