A large crowd gathered at Bede World, Northumberland, last week to celebrate Max’s Adam’s fantastic new book, The King in the North.

Oswald Whiteblade, Christian warlord and founder of Lindisfarne monastery, was the first great English monarch.  His return from exile to reclaim his birthright was famously the inspiration for J. R. R. Tolkien’s Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings.

Max Adam’s thrilling account of this unjustly forgotten English warrior hero will be published on 29th August this year in both hardback and ebook.
