Head of Zeus is delighted to announce that they have entered into a publishing partnership with the rock legend David Essex. We will be publishing Travelling Tinker Man & Other Rhymes - a beautifully illustrated collection of his poetry and lyrics with a very personal introduction - in hardback and E in February 2015.
In Spring 2016 we will also be launching David's fiction writing career with Faded Glory, his debut novel set in 1950s East End. HoZ own world rights.
HoZ CEO Amanda Ridout, who brokered the deal, said 'David's devoted and passionate fans made his recent autobiography Over the Moon a number one bestseller. I know they will love his new poetry collection and will be so excited to hear that he is going to write fiction. As David is a writer of many successful hit records and West End shows we also look forward to establishing him as an exciting new fiction voice which we believe will appeal to a very wide audience.'
David Essex said 'I have hugely enjoyed writing these poems, which encompass my passions for family, theatre, music and much more. As a lyricist, I found the leap to poetry a logical one. I am pleased to have teamed up with Head of Zeus for Traveling Tinker Man and look forward to my forthcoming novel Faded Glory.
Travelling Tinker Man & Other Rhymes is published by Head of Zeus on 12th February 2015.
